Application of Line Marking Paint

Unless specified, Barrier Group uses Water Borne Line Marking paint to minimise the use of solvents whilst onsite.

Preparing the surface in advance of Line Marking for optimal application and results:

• All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, loose sand, aggregate and any chipping/peeling existing paint.
• Any curing compounds used on new concrete must be mechanically removed before application. Application of the concrete primer is recommended to improve performance on concrete surfaces.
• Fresh concrete or asphalt should age/cure 28 days before application for best performance.
• When in doubt, a test adhesion may be required before application.

Limitations:

• Do not apply when rain is forecast within 2 hours.
• Do not apply when road and ambient temperatures are below 10°C.
• Do not apply when temperatures are near or below the dew point.
• Do not apply at relative humidity above 85%.
• Do not apply if the surface is not dry.
• Do not apply if the temperature is expected to fall below freezing within 6 hours after application.
