on the checker plate surface

We recommend fixing a stainless steel or Duragal sheet at the intended installation area on the checker plate surface, then applying the pads to the flat plate for a trouble-free installation on the checker plate.

on exposed aggregate concrete

A primer must be applied in the installation area to prevent water from getting underneath the pad. Our recommendation is to secure the tactile pad to the surface with mechanical fixing ( i.e. screw)

on timber decking – flat side up, uncoated

Wipe the surface down with acetone. Make sure the surface is dry & free of dirt & grit.

on concrete

Wipe the surface down with acetone. Make sure the surface is dry & free of dirt & grit.

on rubber playground matting

A primer must be applied in the installation area to prevent water from getting underneath the pad.

How do I remove the grease on the floor surface before applying a tactile peel-and-stick pad?

We recommend using white spirit or methylated spirit to clean the greasy surface as it evaporates and leaves no residue. Depending on the grease, you may need to use other cleaning products to get most of the grease off, then use the white spirits after. White spirit, methylated spirit or detergent won’t affect the stick of the pads.
